What happens if my trip is affected by Covid-19?

 

In the event we have to cancel a trip due to Covid 19 we will inform you via email. We will offer you the option of rebooking on any available dates. In the event you can’t find a new suitable date we will offer you a full refund. 

 

What extra precautions will you have in place?

Safety on all our trips is a top priority. We will have extra hygiene measures on board including deep cleans in between trips and hand sanitizing stations. We follow the advice and guidance laid out by the authorities in Svalbard. 

We will keep our travellers updated about measures we are taking and any additional measures that are put in place by the authorities. This could include proof of testing before boarding. 

 

What does your Coronavirus Interruption Promise Cover? 

We offer a peace of mind guarantee when it comes to all bookings for 2021. In the event that Svalbard is closed to tourists due to Covid-19 we will automatically reschedule your trip. In the event you cannot make your rescheduled date we will issue you a full refund. 

It is mandatory you take out your own comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking which covers you in case you have to cancel the trip due to illness, injury or travel restrictions in your place of residence.    

How has the pandemic affected our business? 

Due to the remote places we visit, we made the decision early to reschedule our trips in 2020 and 2021. As we fastly adapt to the post-pandemic world of travel, we have full confidence all our trips in 2022 will run as scheduled. Fortunately, we are well financially placed and assure all customers booking with us that their trips will be rescheduled or fully refunded in the event of cancellation.
