Svalbard Expeditions welcomes you to join the adventure of a lifetime. On this skiing expedition you’ll venture into the pristine wilderness on the West coast of Spitsbergen.
The weather and snow conditions will decide our day-to-day destinations, but we’ll always head for the freshest powder, most untouched lines and best snow. A professional guide team will ensure your safety and great experiences.
Check-in at MS Nordstjernen and departure from Longyearbyen at 5.pm. We go west in beautiful Isfjorden and can view the mountains and glaciers together with a cold drink as we get to know each other. After 3 hours sail we´re out of mobile connection for the next few days. Isn't that great?
Day 2, 3 and 4
We explore the wilderness and beautiful mountains of Svalbard as we sail north or south on the west-coast of Spitsbergen. All guests will be divided into groups according to skiing level, so it doesn't matter if you're a beginner or an expert. Group size of 6 guests.

Join us for a 7 days skitouring expedition along the beautiful west-coast of Spitsbergen together with professional and certified guides which will do everything to make sure you have big smiles everyday when you get back to the ship!
We eat, sleep and relax onboard the ship and wake up to a new destination everyday. The ship has two zodiacs to make sure we get a smooth start of the day and a jacuzzi to make sure we get a good aprés-ski after skiing.
Day by Day
Check-in at the ship before sailing out of Isfjorden and leave the civilization behind us. After 3-4 hours we leave the mobile connection and start enjoy each others conversation and the beautiful surroundings.
These days we hike in the mountains on the west coast of Spitsbergen. Who knows, maybe we´ll be able to reach the ice which leads to the North Pole?
The decision on what to do will be taken day by day due to weather and snow conditions. We talk with the local meteorologist everyday to make sure we have an updated forecast.
We wake up and get ourselves a good breakfast before checkin out of the ship and explore the local stores in Longyearbyen.
Photo expeditions with a local guide and photographer that ensures us to be on the right place to the right time.
Using local guides we get the information we need to set the sailing plan as we leave Longyearbyen. Local guides also have required experience with Polar bears and know have to behave to make sure we get great photos and also to preserve the nature that we explore on Svalbard.
Our main focus on this trip is to get great photos and to get close to the wildlife without disturbing any of the animals.
Our guides and photographers gives us their knowledge and experience on how to take the best photos. We operate in small groups and our guides can also give you technical guidance on your equipment on how to take the most fantastic pictures.
There will also be lectures onboard the ship where you can get more inspiration and learn more about taking wildlife photos. Maybe you´ll have the next price winning photo?
